This short questionnaire will gather some further details about the schedule of your day and the photos or moments that are most important to both of you. The more I know in advance, the better prepared I am for capturing every moment that matters to you and knowing where and when to be in place for everything that is taking place in each location.

Where will you be getting ready and from what time?

Sending a Google map with pins of where everything is happening is the best way to ensure I am in all of the correct places, but postcodes and any other necessary specific directions are also a great help! I usually arrive in the morning two hours prior to your ceremony start time. Note: Groom preparations can only be covered if an associate shooter has been booked as part of your package.

What time do you plan on leaving for the ceremony? How are you getting there?

I recommend being ready at least one hour before the ceremony time as the dress shots are some of the nicest moments during your morning preparations and these are very often rushed due to makeup/hair running longer than expected. I aim to be at the ceremony location 15-20 minutes before you arrive so that I can quickly speak to your officiant, as well as capturing some of those special moments of everyone waiting on your arrival.

Anything else I might need to know about the morning?

During the ceremony, will you be facing each other or facing the officiant?

This is important so I know the best position to be in. In general, if you are facing each other I tend to shoot from the aisle.

What time does your ceremony start? Are there any special readings or other things going on during the service?

Any shooting restrictions restrictions/problems/anything else I need to know about?

How long does it take to travel from the location for morning preps to ceremony and then to the reception venue?

Only applies to weddings that aren't all taking place in the same location. Please factor in any time I will need to park and get to ceremony location (especially for city centre weddings).

What are the plans/timings for the reception? What time are things happening - canapés, eating, speeches etc?

In particular, please include info on the number of speeches and when these will be happening. From previous experience, speeches that are spread out over courses will require designating a person to come and get me 10 minutes prior to each speech beginning as there is setup involved for each speech.

Special family situations that I should be sensitive to:

People who have passed away, divorces etc.

How many guests are attending?

For weddings with more than 50 people, it can be difficult to ensure every guest has been captured so please don't hesitate to come over to me on the day and we can get some shots with friends or other people who are important to you.

Do you have any specific events or surprises planned that I might need to know about in advance (eg. sparkler send-off, fireworks, Irish dancers, etc)

Please list the other vendors involved in making your day special

Group Shots

When considering your list of formal photos, keep in mind that you will need to set aside approx 4-5 minutes per picture. I usually take the formal group photographs immediately following the ceremony. In order to make this process less time consuming and confusing for all parties involved, I would appreciate your help in selecting a representative to collect the family and friends that you would like in your formal groupings. Most times it is helpful if the representative knows your family and friends well enough to gather without asking who’s who. My standard formal groupings are listed below and I request that if you have a list that is different than the one that you see below that it not exceed 8 formal groupings in the respect of your time. For your information, the following list will generally take 15 to 20 minutes. The five important formal photos for most weddings are: Bride, Groom, Bride Mom, Bride Dad, Siblings, Grandparents Bride, Bride Mom, Bride Dad Groom, Bride, Groom Mom, Groom Dad, Siblings, Grandparents Groom, Groom Mom, Groom Dad Bride, Groom Wedding Party For additional photos, please put the list together like the following, (This is very important): Bride, Groom, Mom, Dad - ( Jane, Dave, Wendy, Peter) Bride, Groom, Friends - (Jane, Dave, John, Alex) Etc....

Your Wedding Event ~ The Schedule

The majority of my weddings are multiple day celebrations with lots of moving parts. The questions above gather information primarily focused on your wedding day, however, your planner will provide a comprehensive schedule for all days. However, if you are not working with a planner for aspects of your wedding, please let me know and we can finalise the schedule together before the event.
