Pretty In Pink

“The reception decor was elevated, yet playful with floral motifs echoed in the place settings, linens, and even stationery suite. For the blooms, I loved how award-winning landscape designer and florist Mark Grehan of The Garden, mixed single stems in clear cylinder vases to create an elegant display, allowing each flower to have its moment. We included beautiful aubergine dahlias, pink carnations with a modern twist, celosia for texture, dried honesty, and pink asparagus fern for some fun. Arbutus seed head flowers (strawberry tree foliage) on the tables are a tribute to the famous Strawberry tree at our venue’s Courtyard and Readers Gardens at the Museum of Literature Ireland.”

“When it comes to the party part of your reception, existing family linens and crockery can add more of your personality to your overall style. Dress your sweetheart or aside table with these small elements. Little Knick knacks you’ve collected together, or other family heirlooms make perfect accents and reflect you. Inspiration for your decor may also lay within the very property’s grounds or historical tales. By incorporating such moments into your decor, you can tell the story of this to your guests, and for generations ahead.”
